Astra is a privately held exploration company with conditional approval for listing as a publicly-traded company on the TSX Venture Exchange. Upon completion of the listing, which remains subject to a number of conditions, Astra will trade under the symbol “ASTR”. Astra has an 80% interest in the Pampa Paciencia gold-silver project in northern Chile and is initiating a comprehensive exploration program. What does the Pampa Paciencia discovery look like?
Pampa Paciencia is a low sulphidation epithermal gold-silver discovery. Epithermal mineralization represents the upper part of hydrothermal systems and is characterized by quartz veins containing high grades of gold and silver. At Pampa Paciencia, gold and silver mineralization in quartz veins returned grades of 93.3 g/t Au and 301 g/t Ag in surface rock chip samples and 7.71 g/t Au over 3.75 m in drill results.
